The History of C.C. Wells

Originally founded by Charlie Wells.

The company has come a very long way since it’s early days.

Charlie sold the business to Brian Whitehair, who ran it with his family. There were many more markets in his days, then there are today, with towns depending on market days for fresh produce. This was before the superstores began to take a hold.

Brian is his early days was running the business from his home in ashill.

As the business grew, the business started renting premises in Dereham. Brian’s sons and son in law then carried on with the business, having our current warehouse purpose built. The business found previous premises just wasn’t big enough for its growth, and requiring refrigeration for all goods.
